Cambodian Opposition parliamentarians deplore the barbaric measures the Cambodian authorities used to forcefully deport the 101 montagnards back to communist Vietnam. They were absolutely not necessary. 

Basic human rights have sadly been done away with again under the pressure and threat from ruthless violators of human rights. Some Cambodian self-proclaimed democrats have short memory, and succumbed to being part of the shameful act; had they been forcefully repatriated in the 80’s like the way the montagnards are now, they would have been killed by the communists. 

The Opposition parliamentarians hold the Cambodian authorities responsible for the safety of those montagnards upon their return home, and call upon the international community to act more decisively to ensure a total safety for them.
