Prek Dambok is located 4 hours away from Phnom
Penh. After an hour drive on the recently renovated national road and a
crossing of the Mekong River on a ferry, comes another 2 hours of very bumpy earth-made road-trip, through
a beautiful countryside landscape. Prek Dambok commune is
built along a river. The population nearly amounts 11
000 people. |

- New commune office building, November 2002 :
Prek Dambok's commune office is located next door to the pagoda, and
opposite the market place. It is therefore very well suited to become a
democratic place where Prek Dambok's citizens can gather and discuss
commune-related matters. |

The former commune office, a very big wooden and unhealthy
structure, got replaced by a concrete, fully
furnished, 3 rooms-office. |
