April 2002 – A meeting with the population. From left to right: SRP Commune Development Committee secretary general Yim Sopheap, MP Tioulong Saumura, SRP Commune Development Committee vice-president Hing Sokhom, commune chief Sok Sambath, and village chief Tat Ourk. The population requests the assistance of SRP to repair the street by spraying tar and repairing the sewage system. The population offers to contribute to the project cost. A civil engineering company will be chosen by public bidding in a transparent way.

 

July 5, 2002 – Beginning of the works. Commune chief Sok Sambath surrounded by MP Yim Sovann and representatives of the commune inhabitants. Through public bidding, the contract was awarded to STP Company, which will repair the street for US$ 17,485. The commune population will contribute US$ 1,485 and the rest (US$ 16,000) will be provided by SRP supporters in France.
